Gowitrikar was born on 21 May 1976 to an Brahmin Marathi family in Panvel, Maharashtra. She did her schooling in Barns High School in Panvel and her MBBS at Grant Medical College in Mumbai .

Doctor turned model, actress, wife, mother, Mrs World 2001 Aditi Govitrikar, hails from a small town of Panvel, just outside of Bombay. A cute looking girl, eldest of three children, comes from a very orthodox, Maharashtrian Brahmin family. She got married to her all time sweet- heart Dr. Muzaffal Lakdawala and has a three-year-old daughter called Kiara.

Modeling Career:

Aditi won the prestigious Gladrags Contest in 1996, followed by the Asian Super Model Contest in 1997 and the Mrs World Contest in 2001. She has appeared in the commercials of big brands like Pond’s, Coca Cola, Shopper’s Stop, Eureka Forbes, Clinic All Clear, Phillips and more.

Music Videos: 

Aditi was seen in hit music videos, like “Baarish ho rahi hai” by Anu Malik, “Kabhi to nazar milao” by Adnan Sami, “Dhuan dhun” by Vikas Bhalla, “Kar datti jaan” by Govinda and “Us ki baatein” by Jagjit Singh. 

Films:

Aditi has worked in a Telugu film Thammudu (1999), and Bollywood movies like 16th December (2002), Soch (2002), Baaz: A Bird in Danger (2003), Dhund: The Fog (2003), Paheli (2005), Kaisay Kahein (2007) and Victoria No 203: Diamonds are Forever (2007). 

Although originally a doctor, Aditi started modeling and she won the Gladrags Mega Model contest in 1996, “best body” and “best face” at the Asian Super Model Contest in 1997, the Gladrags Mrs. India 2000 contest and went on to win the Mrs. World 2001 beauty pageant in Las Vegas.

She has done nine TV shows and movies, and appeared in the third season of Bigg Boss, where she hung in there till week 11.

Gowitrikar is originally a doctor by profession. She started her career as a model after winning the Gladrags Mega Model contest in 1996 won the “best body” and “best face” prizes in Asian Super Model Contest in 1997. She modeled for companies such as Ponds and appeared in TV commercials for Coca Cola while working as a ramp model in Mumbai. In 2001, Gowitrikar participated in the Mrs.
