Anusha Dandekar was born and bred in Australia. She lived there for 18 long years. In India, she has been working as MTV s VJ for the show  Style Check . 

This 23-year-old girl got her Bollywood break when one of Mahesh Manjrekar s assistants approached her with the idea to cast her in a role in the movie  Viruddh .

She then met the movie s director, Manjrekar, on the sets, where she got a full narration. Manjrekar gave her a day to decide if she was interested, but Anusha confides that she didn t even need one second. 

Luckily, she did not have to audition for the role of half Indian and half British girl in the film. 

Anusha says her dream role is to play a blonde bimbo cheerleader in a mainstream Hollywood film.

Anusha Dandekar lit up the television screens when she won the MTV Veejay Hunt. She has hosted several shows on MTV like MTV Style Check, MTV Love Bytes and MTV Crazy Sexy Cool.

She has also appeared in a Falguni Pathak music video, Tera Mera Pyaar Sanam. 

Anusha’s Movies

Anusha Dandekar’s first brush with the big screen was when she appeared in the item number Loot Gaye in Mumbai Matinee (2003). 

She was seen in Viruddh (2005) as Jenny, John Abraham’s girlfriend who goes back to London after he’s killed. She played the role of Rosa in Anthony Kaun Hai?, a remake of Who is Cletis Tout?
