Amala Detailed Biography


This blog post is about Amala Detailed Biography.
Amala Mukherjee was born on September 12,1968 in West Bengal to an Irish mother and Bengali father. She has an elder brother and sister. She was Settled and educated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She was educated in Bharathanatyam at Kalakshetra, Chennai. She is married to Telugu movie actor Nagarjuna. She is also one of the prominent animal rights activists of India.
She is a strong promoter of vegetarianism and an Animal Rights Activist who is actively involved with The Blue Cross. Amala was born in Bengal to an Irish Mother and Bengali Father. She has an elder brother and sister. She was educated in Kalakshetra, Madras. She was a Bharatanatyam dancer by profession. Winning overnight fame in a Tamil film by famous director T. Rajender, she charmed cinegoers in a flurry of fifty films. She acted in a number of Telugu and Tamil movies. Her performance in Pushpak, Agninakshtram (Gharshana), Nirnayam and Shiva are unforgettable. In 1992, she married Nagarjuna Akkineni, who is a Telugu super star. Her son Akhil (born in 1994) also acted in a movie 'Sisindri'. After a series of visionary past-life experiences, she walked away from the glitter of movie stardom and entered the hapless world of Hyderabad's sick, beaten and homeless stray animals.
Amala made her debut in a Tamil film titled Mythili Yennai Kadali directed by T. Rajendar, which was a big box office hit. She has also starred in a number of Bollywood movies, however her career has been concentrated in the South Indian cinema.

Winning overnight fame in a Tamil film by famous director T. Rajendar, she charmed cinegoers in a flurry of fifty films. She acted in a number of Telugu and Tamil movies. Her performance in Pushpak, Agninakshtram (Gharshana), Nirnayam and Shiva are unforgettable.

She quickly became one of India's darling film stars--pretty, vivacious and a stunning dancer.

In 1992, she married Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, who was her co-star in Ram Gopal Verma's Shiva (film) and became a stepmother to his 6-year-old son(at that time) named Naga Chaitanya, from her husband's first marriage.

Her son Akhil (born in 1994) acted in a movie 'Sisindri'(1995), an unacknowledged copy of the Hollywood film Baby's Day Out, as the baby.

Amala recently attended Nagarjuna's Felcitation in Melbourne.
HABITS
Amala is famous as the founder of 'Blue Cross of Hyderabad' a non government organization (NGO) in Hyderabad, India, and has generated a habit which works towards the welfare of animals and preservation of animal rights. She is a practicing Vegetarian and does not touch alcohol. She also teaches Yoga for women, and actively promotes communal harmony.

Amala has worked for some of the Telugu films like Shiva (1990) (Akkineni Nagarjuna) ,Raja Vikramarka (1990) Chiranjeevi , Nirnayam (1991) (Akkineni Nagarjuna) , Aagraham (1993)Rajsekhar , Kirai Dada (12-11-1987) (Akkineni Nagarjuna), Prema Yuddam (Akkineni Nagarjuna) , Aggi Ramudu (1990) Venkatesh , Raktha Tilakam (1988) Venkatesh ,Chinna Babu (1988) Nagarjuna , Pushpaka Vimaanam.

HINDI FILMS 
Amala acted in Hindi films like Dayavan (1988), Dost (1989), Jurrat (1989),Kab Tak Chup Rahungi (1990).

Malayalam Movies
Amala worked in Malayalam movies like Ente Sooryaputhrikku (1991) with Suresh Gopi    as Maya Vinodini and Ulladakkam (1991) with Mohanlal as Reshma.

Kannada Movies
Amala worked for Kannada movies like Bannadha Gejje, Bandana and Pushpak (1988).
